In my more altrusitic moods, I believe in everything that socialism stands for. Sadly though, it doesn’t work and that load of crap (what I as a Brit understood of it) is a perfect example of why it doesn’t work: vastly too much legislation that is usually very badly drafted, tries to cover far too wide a scope in huge detail (and fails) and an inbuilt jealousy and envy of those that are “better off”.
Like I said, I agree with socialist principles, but on the basis of equal opportunity for all to reach the top, or somewhere close to it – NOT drag others down to the lowest common denominator. Is that not what much of this is about? Or have I simply misunderstood?

I will not get my panties in a twist over someones interpretation of the health-care reform. If the actual package had been placed, as opposed to this person’s interpreattion, and the actual package stated these items, I may be upset. Fox News has a reputation for fear mongering and slanting an issue to fit their needs, please do not fall for their attempts again….remember Fox News LOVED and ENDORSED G.W Bush

I read in another translation of the bill under section 1308 that said government will have some say in marrige. can you tell me if this is true. I have to say though I do beleive every thing you are saying.
